Jinghu Railway (Beijing-Shanghai)

Jinghu Railway is a train line running between Beijing and Shanghai and is a prestigious railway in China as well as Jiangsu.

Entering Jiangsu from the right upper corner of the province, the train line passes Xuzhou, then vertically downwards to Pukou, a district of Nanjing, which is located in the right lower corner of the province. The train line then changes its direction, horizontally toward to the east of Jiangsu, passing in turn cities of Zhenjiang, Changzhou, Wuxi, Suzhou, and finally enters Shanghai. Between Nanjing and Shanghai, the train line is called Pukou-Shanghai Railway and is around 290 km.

This railway plays a major role for both passenger service and cargo transportation in Jiangsu and connects all major cities situated on the southern bank of Yangtze River.
