Hongqiao International Airport is the second largest airport in the East of China. After Shanghai Pudong International Airport opened as an international aviation hub in the Eastern China, SHA serves mostly as a hub for domestic civil air transportation and cargo transportation.

How to get there:

To reach the airport, take Hongqiao Road useing the same name with Hongqiao Airport, which is a continuation of the Yanan Road, the main east-west street in Shanghai, connecting the Hongqiao Special Zone with the Pudong New District and dividing the city into north and south. The road is the only main road connecting the airport and 86 kilometers (about 53 miles) away from Suzhou.

Airport Shuttle buses: Operate between SHA and Suzhou every day to transport travelers to Suzhou. The whole journey takes about one hour and fifteen minutes.

Regular Buses from SHA to Suzhou:
Departure: 10:00 to 16:00, a bus/per hour
Fare: 50 Yuan/person

Buses from Suzhou to SHA:

Departure: 6:20, 7:20, 7:50, 8:20, 9:20, 10:20, 10:50, 11:50, 12:50, 13:50, 14:50
