China's richest village located in Wuxi

Many of expatriates living in Jiangsu may not know Huaxi, officially the country's wealthiest village. Take the municipal government's stretch limousine across Textile Bridge, pass the smokestacks of the steelworks, speed alongside row after row of symmetrical pale-blue houses, skirt the 15-storey pagoda hotel and then alight for a walk down the red-carpeted corridor of capital.

This concrete-covered passageway is a monument to the giddy material progress made by the commune since China's policymakers began mixing their ideological drinks 26 years ago.

Wuxi twined with San Antonio

Wuxi is twined with San Antonio, a city in Texas in the States. Both cities are among the most visited cities in the States and in China. Guess its goal is to establish trade and cultural exchanges between local communities within the two countries and municipalities.

Two mayors signed an agreement on February 16 and it will promote trade, inbound investments, and exchanges in culture and education. The interaction btween the two cities will be increased by the similarity of interests and industries. Wuxi has automobile, new materials, software development, new energy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biosciences, and health care, which may attract San Antonio's investors.

Jiangsu money depositors nervous after fatal shooting

The demand for police escorts to ensure safe cash deposits or withdrawals is on the rise following a deadly shooting and robbery in Nanjing last week.

During the traditional Chinese Spring Festival holiday an escort service, provided by local police department or professional private guard companies, is becoming popular in Jiangsu's provincial capital city Nanjing and other cities of China as police track the suspect, who is believed to be responsible for a number of similar shootings and robberies across the country during the holiday season.

Yangzhou needs more international hotels

International traveling guests need more international standard hotels in Yangzhou. Shangri-La Hotels, a Hong-kong based international hotel chain, will open its branch in Yangzhou in 2012.

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts announced that it will open Shangri-La Hotel Yangzhou in 2012. The hotel will join the group's existing seven hotels in the Yangtze River Delta. You don't have a lot of choices when dealing with hotels in Yangzhou and it is worth to have more options.

Wuxi for 61st Miss World in August 2011

Wuxi, a city in Jiangsu Province, will be the city to hold The 61st Miss World Pageant.

According to reports, the Miss World Wuxi Division began registration on June 7th. In addition to hosting this year’s division pageant, Wuxi will also host the final for this year’s Miss World competition. That means Miss World 2011 will be crowned in Wuxi. The Wuxi Division final is planned for July 15.
