Nanjing zoo or safari?

We are looking forward to nanjing zoo in coming days and does anybody know more information about it, or any kind of wild safari here in Nanjing? We appreciate your ideas.

yeah nanjing hongshan forest park is a zoo but not a wild safari. take nanjing subway to the north gate of the zoo.

We went there last year and it is called Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo, located in the north of Nanjing and close to Nanjing Railway Station. Take 35 to the northern gate of the zoo, or Tourist bus No. 3 or Bus 1, 33, 35 then transfer to Bus 22 to the eastern gate of the zoo.
Ticket price: 30 rmb per adult, free entry for children under 1.3 m, but I am not sure if it will go up during the national holidays.

during the holidays i don't think i will go there, too crowded and kids might get sick.

There is a safari-style wild animal park in Nanjing, Zhenzhu Spring Wild Animal Park, located in Pukou district, the other side of Yangtze river and you need to take a bus or taxi to cross the Yangtze river. Open from 700 am to evening. The park hosts 50 lions, more than 100 tighers, and 60 more bears... in the wild. It is the largest wild animal park in the East of China.

Or, you can go the Underwater world with kids. This decent aquarium is located in the Zhongshan mountain area, close to Zhongshan Mausoleum. You get to see dolphin performances, Amazon fish, Chinese giant salamanders... Open: 830 to 1700.

the next time, you might try the Xuanwu Lake Aviary, located on Ling Zhou Island of Xuanwu Lake Park. the park is in the towndown area at the intersection of Zhongyang rd/Hunan rd and can be reached by many city bus lines, No.1,2,3.... the nearby tourist destinations include the Ming city wall and Jiming Templ.
