I`m travelling around China and will be exploring Jiangsu shortly. Does anyone know any useful links? I need something that explains the region, how to get there and what cities are most interesting!!

I`m not really backpacking... I`m taking a break really... I just finished my studies and need to unwind a bit. And doing this in China, Im sure I`ll end up learning a lot also.
I haven`t seen LYG yet... I hear it`s nice. Maybe next month. I`ve been to Zhenjiang and Suzhou so far. Are you going to any other towns in Jiangsu?

this is my 1st time to Jiangsu...last year i went to Yantai and Dalian...quite nice even though i just spend 2 weeks over there...

When exactly are you going to Jiangsu? I just found a website about Zhenjiang... www.visitzhenjiang.com
Its another city in Jiangsu, closer to Shanghai... I spent a weekend there during their tourism festival. It was really nice.
Where else are you planning on going?

i prefer Yantai to Dalian...maybe bcoz the facility is just a walking distance compared to Dalian whereby i have to ride a taxi...well i'm pretty much enjoy both city...i'm expecting to be in LYG around end of this month though i haven't apply for the China visa yet...Qingdao is a nice place too...heard that they have beer fest (similar to October Fest in Germany) somewhere around Nov if i'm not mistaken...hey did u know that Qingdao real name is Tsingtao which is the beer name itself...i only got a chance to taste the beer but haven't been there yet...so "where else i'm planning on going?".....probably Qingdao...

if you are a new comer to the province, you have the chance to see lots of fabulous cities in Jiangsu. Take a flight to Shanghai and take a train to Nanjing from its train station, you can stop at Suzhou, Wuxi, Changzhuo, Zhenjiang, finally you reach the provincial capital. spend at least 3 days in each of those cities with a guided bus tour and you will see a lot of beautiful gardens, watertowns, heritage sites, Budhist temples...in a tight schedule. In my personal view, those cities show very rich Chinese culture and heritage compared with other cities you toured. I think you will love these cities.

Thanks for the tips... I ended up going into the websit BTpcr suggested 9www.tastejiangsu.com). I found what I needed, its all booked. And, I`m going to all the towns you mentioned plus a couple. I`m not spending that must time in each, I`ve already seen Zhenjiang.
