Mandarin Chinese is far much easier as compared to Cantonese Chinese.

Try learning Mandarin which you can learn quickly 8-)

Yes I am agreed with you. Chinese and japanese are two languages which are very hard to learn. But I would like to know which language do you speak generally?? If you are from some part of south asia then it should be easy to pick chinese language. Otherwise I would like to suggest you to go for a chinese language teacher.

Thanks

[quote="tanyaacatherine"]Chinese character is hard to write. There are lots of strokes of a Chinese character and still has the distinction of simple and complex font and still like Song typeface. Chinese language is hard to learn but there are also many foreigners learn it very well.

The 'New Practical Chinese Reader' textbooks (and cd's) are not too bad. That is what we used when I studied Chinese at uni in the UK
