golf courses or driving ranges in nanjing

Postby Jarhead » Mon Jun 16, 2008 9:24 am

I am interested in playing golf and/or finding a driving range in or near Nanjing. I,ve not found any except golf clubs that require expensive memberships.
I am an American, my wife is Chinese and our home is in Jiangning District. Retired as an environmental consultant in California, I have lived here since
May 2005, but just recently returned from an extended stay in the US,

Will appreciate any replies.

I know Wutaishan golf club and Jinsha golf club have indoor and friving range and not expensive, but they are in Nanjing downtown core. Another club, Ginkgo Lake Golf Club (Yinxing Lake) is in Jiangning District but I am not sure if it provides a driving range.

Try either of the two clubs in Nantong:
Pengxin Golf club: located very close to Langshan Hill (Wolf Hill). You can take public bus line No 14, get off one stop prior to the Langshan stop.

Dongsheng International Golf club is located 168 Taishan Rd, in Qugang Town, Rudong city of Nantong, established in Sept. 2005. But I am no idea about its mermbership fee or expenses. Tel: 513-84109999, not sure if the operator can speak in English.

Thanks Kevan. I found the club, it is a driving range. Is there any 18 holes in Nantong?

No, Dongsheng is a driving range and 9-hole course.

For a 18 holes golf course, you can only go to Jinyuan Golf Club in Haimen City. The city is under the jurisdiction of Nantong, maybe 30-50 km from the Nantong, between Nantong and Shanghai.

If I drive a 7.5 tonne truck less than 10 days a year do I need to abide by EU driving hours rules? I drive to 6 race meetings a year for my employer, someone else will drive back. I need to know whether I am allowed to work at the meeting or do I have to take an enforced break as per the EU driving hours.
