I'm a dedicated teacher looking for opportunities in Jiangsu, especially Suzhou, starting in the Summer or Fall (2013).

I have:
-10+ years of teaching and education experience, including 2 years of teaching experience in the US
-a Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree from UNC-CH, a top 25 university in the US
-2 years of teaching experience at the same university in Taiyuan, Shanxi
-1 year of experience in IELTS, TOEFL, SAT
-a serious yet entertaining teaching style

I'm enrolled in a 120 hour TESOL course this summer, so I will have that in time for the fall semester.

I'm keen to find on opportunity in this prefecture at the University or High School level. Also open to training schools.

Job location:
JinTan,Changzhou (within one hour travel from Wuxi), Jiangsu Province

Brief Job description:
Undertake the teaching job of English language modules in GAC courses, as well as the study skills and the communication skills modules for students from age of 15-17.

Responsibility:
 Prompt arrival to class
 Delivery of modules according to the syllabus
 Preparing students for assessment of modules
 Marking assessment promptly as per advice from the Director of Studies
 Keeping accurate attendance record
 Ensuring all sign off logs and checklists are complete and accurate
 Preparing for all classes
 Keeping accurate assessment records
 Assessing student work with appropriate comments
 Selecting a sample of 10% of each cohort‟s work in all assessable activities in liaison with the Director of Studies
 Developing teacher-based tests, if required
 Student reports
 Overall report of module stating its strengths, concerns and recommendations
 Providing Director of Studies with competency sign off logs, class record book, and student competency checklists no later than two weeks after the completion of module
 Providing Director of Studies with samples of assessed student work as required for moderation purposes
 Attend teachers’ meetings

Requirement:
 Native speaker of English
 Related educational background: a degree/diploma in Arts, Humanities, Social Science, or Education
 Teaching certificate: a specialist EFL/ESL/TESOL qualification
 Teaching experience in ESL

 Yearly salary around 200 thousand RMB.
